We’re a cliche, fellow babyboomers.

We spent what…maybe 30 or more years on the job… learning the ropes, kissing behinds, and paying our dues? Only to discover — when it came coasting time at around age 50 — there’s no such thing as on-the-job coasting any more.

Wha?!

Well, that was my first reaction. I don’t really question it so much any more. But, of course, that doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Our accumulated knowledge is yesterday’s news. Virtually valueless.

And it’s just plain unfair. We raced around like lunatics to cover for our bosses. All that blood, sweat and tears. All for nothin’, I’m telling ya.

At almost the precise moment we knew it all, we didn’t. They took the rug out from under us. Left us high and dry. Up the river without a paddle.

Thanks to technology, what’s here today will be gone tomorrow. Our knowledge and experience is irrelevant. Nadda. Who cares?

And if I have to learn another new device, platform, network, program or app, why, I’m gonna… sock somebody in the kisser, is what I’ll do.

I had another (much better) post in mind but it required a photo. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how to access my photos on my new laptop. My lousy photos, Lenova!! The operative word here being MY.

And Network Solutions, come back to my iPhone. Where did you go, for crying out loud? How can you work one minute and not the next.

I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Please stop messing with me, digital world. I’m getting fightin’ mad!

!@#$%&*!!
