Beth Holzheimer Hallisy, APR, Fellow PRSA, is president of Beth.LLC, a professional writing and content creation firm with a focus on thought leadership through storytelling.

Prior to founding her content creation firm in 2013, Beth was a partner of Marcus Thomas LLC. She joined the now $140 million integrated marketing communications agency in 1991. Clients included Akron Children’s Hospital, ALLTEL Communications, American Greetings, Black Flag, Caterpillar, the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, Diebold, Eastman Kodak, GenCorp Automotive, ISG (Mittal, LTV Steel), KeyBank, Nestlé, Ohio Bancorp, Sky Financial Group and Steel Service Center Institute.

Beth also served as public relations account manager at FleishmanHillard, Cleveland; director of community affairs for St. Thomas Hospital, Akron; technical editor at URS architectural and engineering firm, Cleveland; and director of development and public relations for Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, Cleveland.

Beth is a Fellow and accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America. A recipient of six PRSA Silver Anvil awards, she is a 2011 recipient of the Greater Cleveland PRSA’s Lighthouse Award for career achievement and community service and a graduate of Leadership Cleveland. She has served on the Executive Committee of PRSA Counselors Academy; the Corporate Council of the Cleveland Museum of Art; and the boards of Achievement Centers for Children, Boys Hope Girls Hope, the Center for Community Solutions, and Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School.

Beth holds a master’s degree from John Carroll University and a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. She also has completed graduate work at Cleveland State University, the University of Michigan, Ursuline College and Cleveland Marshall Law School.

She is an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort and previously taught at John Carroll University and Kent State University.
