My love of writing began early. I don’t remember ever being without a writer’s journal. It was where I solved problems, articulated ideas, invented stories, and imagined what could be.

I remember my first typewriter with palpable joy. And I became quickly enamored with the computer for its speed and ease of deleting – deletion being the not-so-secret-sauce of good writing.

I majored in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in marketing and eventually got a master’s in English literature/creative writing. I worked in public relations for several years before buying into a small Ohio-based marketing communications agency. Through organic growth and acquisition, my partners and I grew the business to almost $20 million, served blue chip clients and employed nearly 200 talented communicators. About 25 years in, I sold my shares and founded Beth.LLC to focus almost exclusively on writing.

In 2023, I moved to the Lowcountry of South Carolina and here decided to embark on Beth.LLC: The Sequel. It’s been fun and rewarding to work with and share the stories of inspired leaders (individuals and organizations) who are changing the world in consequential ways.

“The very essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision. It’s got to be a vision you articulate clearly and forcefully on every occasion. You can’t blow an uncertain trumpet.”
